Electronic signatures
A signature is only worth what you can prove about it. The signature itself is the easy part; the audit trail is the product.
Sending
Signatures → Send for signature. Attach a quote, a contract or any PDF, add the people who must sign, and send. Each person gets their own private link — no account, no app, no download. They sign in the browser.
What is recorded
For each signer: when the link was opened, when they signed, from which address, and the exact document they saw. The document is fingerprinted with SHA-256 at the moment of signing, so the version that was signed can be proven to be the version you still hold. If a page is altered afterwards, the fingerprint no longer matches, and that is the point.
The certificate
When everyone has signed, a certificate page is generated: the parties, the timestamps, the addresses and the fingerprint, in one printable document. That is what you give to a lawyer, and it is what makes the difference between "they clicked a button" and evidence.
Expiry and declining
Set a deadline and a request expires on its own. A signer can decline, with a reason, and the decline is recorded in the same trail as a signature would be — a refusal is information, not an absence of information.
Several signers
Add as many people as the document needs. Each gets their own link, each signature is recorded separately, and the request is complete only when everyone has signed. Somebody who has already signed does not need to do anything when the next person signs — and nobody sees anyone else's link.
Chasing the ones who have not signed
The list shows who is outstanding and how long it has been. You can send the request again: the same link, not a new one, so a signer who had already opened it and got distracted picks up where they were rather than starting over.
Signing a quote you then invoice
A common flow: send the quote for signature, and when it comes back signed, convert it into an invoice. The invoice keeps a reference to the quote, and the signature certificate stays attached to the quote — so the chain from "they agreed" to "they were billed" is one trail rather than two systems and an email thread.
Not the same as a stamp
A company stamp is a picture. It has no legal weight anywhere. This is the one that holds up.
Questions people actually ask
Does the signer need an account?
No. Each signer gets a personal link and signs in the browser. Requiring an account is how signature requests get ignored.
How do I prove the document was not changed after signing?
By the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded at the moment of signing, printed on the certificate. A changed document produces a different fingerprint.
Is this a qualified electronic signature?
It is an advanced electronic signature with an audit trail, which covers ordinary commercial agreements. A qualified signature under eIDAS needs a certified provider and identity verification; if your contract requires one, you will know.
